So we can stay strong later. Pam and I were going to be married this July 21st, 2007. the Perils of Graduate school and the accompanying internship ( which was to commence merely weeks following the wedding ) proved to be just too much for us- Stresswise. We've decided to make it a peaceful summer and try again next.

We'd still love to see all of your bright shining faces out in Seattle this summer, though, if you're so inclined!

A little disappointment, but more focus on a relationship and the love between us rather than a focus on colors, and tastes, and sizes, and dates, and travel, and. and. and....

Plastic surrounding food... not good. I first heard about it of course regarding cooking in plastic containers - if you consider a microwave oven event cooking. Then that keeping foods frozen in plastic containers risked degrading the structure of the plastic and getting microscopic, yet cancer-causing, particles or shards ingested in us. And now, it seems, it may just be better to not use the stuff at all.

So what to do? Everything I perused in the grocery store that wasn't in a produce aisle seems to be wrapped, stuffed, containerized, or otherwise touching, plastic or metal. Now metals seem to offer their own set of risks and vulnerabilities. Are we simply destined to suffer or is there a holy grail of food containment out there?

I think that today and yesterday may have been the first actual sunny days I have gotten to experience since changing jobs.

I was pretty amazed when I saw todays newspaper's front page picture, because I was looking out my 10th floor windows at the same flippin thing... but in 360 degree format.

I thought I'd share:

This is - -exactly- - my view from my new office in Bellevue…. So beautiful this morning. Too bad no pic, but Mt Ranier and the Cascades were equally as majestic to the south and to the east. I leave for work at 6 am, so I get to see the city come to life, and when the sun is shining… come to light.

but damn if that doesn't warrant a long answer.

Here I am, playing (actually preparing to play) live on 107.7 the End with Juhu Beach. We played two songs on the Friday night mainline program. Lots of listeners, as 107.7 is the big clearchannelcomwhatever rock station in Seattle, and well, it was Friday night prime time @ 6:30ish slot.

But then the cream was several weeks later, just last friday as a matter of fact, playing in Avast Studios, formerly Ironwood, where the legend John Coltrane recorded two of his records. I am still trying to find out which ones. Again, here's me sound checking. Can someone PLEASE take a picture of me when I'm actually layin down a real feel?? Enough of these sound check and warm up shots, dammit.

My first blog entry comes on Seattle's first snow day of the winter. The city is, for all intents and purposes, shut down for the day as all of us Northwest weenies stay home to preserve our precious noses and automobiles from the perils of winter travel. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, as I have VPN'd into the network and am "working" from home. Yeah.

finished the blog from the office, yeah, that office. the real one. Nobody out really, rather a ghost town. Holding down the fort by my lonesome. ahhhhhh.
